TN v. L.N.

After a night of partying and what he believes to be consensual relations with his date, a young man drives a girl home to her campus room. He knocks on the door and her roommates find the female in good spirits. The next morning, she tells her friends that she thinks that she might have been raped, and the man is arrested that day on Rape charges by University officials. When the female undergoes a rape kit, the results are consistent with sex but inconclusive as to whether a rape occurred. He is given a twelve year offer and forced to immediately withdraw from the school for violation of a student policy. Although he is found Not Guilty at trial, he is still permanently expelled from the school and cannot find another school to accept him.
